Artist's Comments
This is an Easter present for Thomas. It's basically an egg that I designed with the elements - Aether (the heart/star/our names -- it's the stuff of spirits), Fire, Wind (Air - dur), Earth, Water.
I decided that I didn't want to do a traditional Easter Egg, so here's a Marcotte original. I had trouble finding a stand, so it's a bottle cap from (I think) J. Stuart's orange soda. I got it in Stratford and it has a cool fortune in the bottom. Parts of the egg got a little banged up but I'm leaving them that way - the paint is stripped in one place in a tiny patch (about 2 mm but you see the white underneath) in the fire and there's a line sort of cut into the water. I hope the pictures are good enough - I tried to show everything. That being said...MONTAGE! |
